Why the dropped calls?

Why doesn't Tmobile work in my house?  Dropped call after dropped call, even on wifi.  I've been with Tmobile (fka Voicestream) since 2002.  I have never had such poor service (both with their network and customer service) in those 10 years as I have had in the past 2 years.  They cannot fix it.


Store reps lied & refused to sell me a phone

Walked into a store, excited to buy a new phone and the store reps:

1) were supercilious, condescending & rude toward me while fawning over my sister (who has a data plan & was paying extra money to upgrade early)

2) lied multiple times

3) refused to sell me the phone

 

Was so humiliated at the way they were treating me & frustrated at the lies & lack of straight answers I ended up walking out of the store in tears (there was no place to sit) & sat on top of the car (it was locked) for more than 40 minutes while the store reps helped set my sister up with her new phone. 

 

To add insult to injury, I was up for a free upgrade about 11 months ago, but I don't like to throw things that work away.  Now that my phone doesn't work & I really need a new one, not only can I not get a free upgrade anymore, they were going to force me to pay for a data plan because we won't be eligible for the new plan for 5 months.  Even with a discount, that's an EXTRA $30 per month that I don't have, when I should have been able to get a phone  for "free" (or at least with a $15/month data plan).  They absolutely refused to sell me the phone without a data plan. 

 

They told me I have to use my half dead phone for another 5 MONTHS!!!!!  Remember, this phone could have been upgraded last August!!!!!!!!!!  They also refused to sell me the cheaper data plan.  It was the $20/month plan or nothing.   I hope I never see their faces again. 

 

Then again, perhaps I should be thankful.  I help small business owners connect with & delight their customers & I've never experienced a better example of what not to do, so at least I got something out of the experience.

Guam isn't part of the United States?!

So I call TMO customer service and ask why they charge 29 cents a minute to call Guam since I have an unlimited nationwide calling plan.  Astonishingly, I get told repeatedly that Guam is not part of the United States.  I told the agent that Guam is part of the United States just like Puerto Rico is, and Puerto Rico is part of the nationwide calling plan as it should be.  Unbelievably, the agent told me that Puerto Rico is one of the 52 states of the USA!   So I ask for the supervisor and she says Guam is not part of the United States and so I have to pay international charges.  So I'd like to know how TMO defines the United States with regards to it's nationwide calling plan and which US states territories are included and not included.  There should be a disclaimer somewhere on the TMO website noting that the nationwide plan does not include the entire nation (e.g. Guam) or perhaps TMO is not familiar with world geography, and should include the United States Territory of Guam as part of the US nationwide plan.

Hi tmo_jessicab,

I have a question about my plan. At first, my current plan has just around ~$100/month in total.

 

On April, I got an iPhone5 and I must add a new line to get it. The Tmobile staff told me that the new line (xxx-xxx-0807) would be $5(before tax)/month because it was the promotion on 1st day iphone5 was sold at Tmobile. They made sure that, my monthly bill for 5 lines would be around ~$125-$130/month (included $20/month for the iphone5)

 

Then my next bill (May, 2013) was $128, that was fine, like I expected. But I didn't see anything about the payment for the iphone5 on that bill. I went Tmobile online, then went to the EQUIPMENT INSTALLMENT PLAN(S) and made $20 payment for the iphone5, after that the current balance decreased from $128 to $104, and I paid the rest like every month.

 

But the next bill (Jun 10. 2013), I received last week, THE CURRENT CHARGES WAS $160, I DIDN'T GET IT!!!

I SAW THE LINE (xxx-xxx-0807) HAD BEEN CHARGED $15/MONTH, NOT $5/MONTH AS THE TMOBILE STAFF HAD TOLD ME!!!

AND THE OTHERS CHARGES:

Plan #xxxxxxxx5561 Unpaid Balance $460.00-Monthly Charge $20.00

Plan #xxxxxxxx5561 Unpaid Balance $480.00-Partial Charge $20.00

WHILE I PAID $20 LAST MONTH FOR THE PHONE!!!

 

THEN I WENT TO EQUIPMENT INSTALLMENT PLAN(S) ONLINE AND MADE $20 PAYMENT FOR THE IPHONE5, AND NOW MY CURRENT BALANCE GO FROM $160 TO $140.

 

CAN YOU EXPLAIN IT TO ME? MY BILL SHOULD BE AROUND ~$125-$130/MONTH AS THE TMOBILE STAFF TOLD ME!!!

On my phone, I access Web2go, go to "home" then my account, refill , then go to refill with credit/debit card now. It sits there thinking for a minute then says "Secure Connection Failed" it's been doing this for a long while now, like months.

 

So I finally thought: "I'll go refill from the website"

so I log in and go to billing, refill, enter the card info and address, select refill amount and submit.

System Error

 

 

 

The T-Mobile refill system is currently unavailable.

 

so, none of my refill options are working it would appear, at least none of the ones I know how to use. is this T-Mobile's way of saying they no longer want me as a customer?

not only this but, I think the system also over-charged me for checking my voice mail.. I spent less than 1 minute, it charged for more. I had $1.44 and checked voice mail. First, it wastes time telling me my balance is low (which I already know) then It was some lady I never heard of, so I quickly exit resulting in $1.15. I wonder how long it's been over-charging me and now it won't even let me refill anyways.

 

There used to be a Chat representative option too, but it's nowhere to be found. It's like T-Mobile has abandon me

the thing is, I have to visit the doctor tomorrow for an animal bite that's infected, I have to call them... on 1 minute time. I will try to refill again, but I've contact support about this and no one has resolved it yet, so I don't think I will stay a customer much longer if they don't do something to fix this (not by choice, but because obviously I can't be a customer if I can't refill right )

When I moved to Vietnam, I changed from a monthly plan to pay-as-you-go. I received a bill from Enhanced Recovery Company, LLC  for $70.24, from T-Mobile, but I have no idea what it is for. I can not contact them from Vietnam. Can you explain this charge? Thanks.

Call center changes to plan...

On May 7 I called to see what a 9.99 charge was on my bill. The call center rep talked me into a free upgrade on my phone data plan. My first bill showed a charge of $20 for this free upgrade, so I called the call center today. Ryan, Representative ID#1212284, told me the plan that the other rep had tried to transfer us to was unlimited talk, text and data for the same price we had been paying for our 2 1/2 year old plan. Of course I jumped at that, and Ryan refunded the $20 per month charge. 20 minutes later I received a text that I had used up all my high-speed data for the month (in 4 days) on my UNLIMITED data plan. When I tried to get Ryan back I was told that it is impossible to talk to the call center rep that I spoke to - the one who gave me his Rep ID# and told me to call should I have any problems not even an hour ago! Oh, and the new rep tried to sell me the $20 add-on unlimited data plan! Wow. We're checking out Verizon now.

On my Samsung SGH-T139 I will go into the Web2Go, then go to account, it says I'm almost out of minutes so I click to refill using a credit card, it tries to load, then it says "Secure Connection Failed" It's been doing this all day, I'm worried I will run out of funds on the phone before this is fixed. Any ETA on a fix? Also if I go into the Menu, then to the left bottom "My Account"  it will say "Unable to retrieve your account status, please try again later" it's been saying this for months. there's $1.90 on my account

I made an order of five smartphones over the phone from T-mobile on May 29th, and received them on June 5th, and then ported phone numbers from Verizon to T-mobile on June 7th. When I made an order on May 29th, a CSR of T-mobile told me that I needed to activate those phones when I actually received them, and then I also needed to request phone number porting or transfer when I activated them. However, when I made a phone call to T-mobile in order to activate them on June 7th, I found that they were already activated on May 30th with T-mobile assigned temporary numbers. Problem is, I needed to pay the bill for the period of May 30th to June 6th, during which those phones were on a UPS truck.

Is this normal? I mean, when customers made orders online or over the phone, do service providers like T-mobile activate them first and then charge customers for the shipping period of around a week? It's just around $60, but it made feel bad. Why do customers need to pay even when they don't have the phones yet?

So I just switched from Verizon to T-Mobile and my mom works at the YMCA. We sent in the order forms that they asked for so we could get the 10% discount. How long does it take for those discounts to show up on your bill?
