Final bill not pro-rated

After being a TMobile customer for 14 years, I recently switched to another carrier. apparently I ported 3 days after my billing cycle began. TMobile is now charging me for a full month of service I didn't receive. I called TMobile and they told me they would not prorate the bill and send me to collections if I didn't pay it.

I haven't pulled up my original contract yet, but I'm sure when I do it will indicate there are no terms and conditions related to not prorating service. Does anyone know when this went into effect?
