Hi All,
We visited the US for 2 weeks last month and for the duration of our stay we needed a data plan to get online and book hotels while traveling etc. We visited a T-Mobile store in New York, they sold us a $60 prepaid plan and charged us $137.07 as "activation fees" which they said would be refunded to my credit card after a certain date. Kinda had a bad feeling about this whole transaction and wasn't too surprised to see that a month after the promised date, the "activation fee" still hasn't been refunded. I should have just trusted my gut feeling and run out of the store... I pretty much consider that $137 lost and don't expect to get it back.
I've found similar reports of the same T-mobile store on the Internet and that store is really ruining T-mobile's reputation! I certainly don't want to have anything to do with T-mobile the next time I visit the US.
