Why am I not able to pay with the same checking account I've always been using?

Why am I receiving an error that my checking account was declined when paying online via Airtime payment? There is plenty of money in  the checking account and it hasn't changed from the account I've been using for years. There is nothing wrong on the bank's end. The error message says, "

Payment declined

 

We’re sorry, but your checking account was declined. Please select another payment method and try again."


Is this a glitch, or what is the deal??
