Hey Everyone,
I have a little under 8 months left on my contract, and I was wondering if I still would have to pay the flat $200 fee to cancel my plan early? Also, does T-Mobile make you wait until your entire contract is up before offering you a discount on a new phone for renewing it?
Background Story: I live in Raleigh, NC and I get terrible reception almost everywhere. I had initially gone with T-Mobile because of unlimited data, but I get such slow access that I haven't even managed to use more than 1GB in the past 16 months that I've been with T-Mobile. I was willing to deal with that, but I also bought the Nexus 4, and I'm already on my second one. Both of them slowly got bent somewhere internally at the charge point (despite me simply plugging them in and setting them on my desk each night) and now have to be positioned just right to charge at all. I was just going to get a new phone, but when I browse online I am not offered any of the discounts and thus would have to pay T-Mobile more a Nexus 5 than even Google charges for an unlocked one (which seems like a terrible rip off, if I am already putting up with bad service everywhere).
