Ok here is the thing.
I'm trying to switch to T-mobile to get the $30 100 minute talk, unlimited text and web plan. When I tried to order my micro sim card, I entered all my card info but then the payment wouldn't get authorized ( forgot what the exact error message was), tried a couple more times but then I went on to look at my bank account and it showed 3 charges on there and so my bank thought that was suspicious and blocked my card. When I called them they told me that there was nothing wrong with my card, they accepted the payment but it was on t-mobile's side that there was a problem, indeed I am able to order stuff online all the time with the same card so it can't be that.
Next thing I did was call T-mobile support and they faced the same error when trying to order the card on the phone and told me to go to a store to get a card.
So I go to a store, but they told me that i can't just get a sim card without having to activate a plan with it, which doesn't make any sense to me. Anyway, the $30 plan as you know is only available online so I left the store. Called again the support and they told me that I should have been able to buy just a sim card, that the store was wrong
Now here are my options i think:
-I can go to the store again, tell them they're wrong and get a sim card
-But the store mught be stubborn, so I can also maybe buy a card then get a different plan such as the $40 plan, and then switch to the $30 plan the next month. However I don't know if that will work, because there seem to be restriction to this lan where you have to activate the sim card online only to get it. Plus if I have this credit card issue every time I would try to pay each month, it would be a hassle
-Have a relative use their credit card and pay them every month, kind of a hassle though
-Go to another company, but I can't find a plan that I like elsewhere that has that amount of data and unlimited text for that price.
What do you guys think of all this? Could a T-mobile worker tell me who is right or wrong in all of this and if my assumptions about switching a plan would work?
Thank you
