Hello, I am a VERY light cell phone user. I have a smart phone but use only Wi-Fi for data as I am usually where it is available.
I currently have Gold Rewards "Pay as you go" account status and have $87.55 and 633 minutes remaining. This works out to 13.83 cents per minute which I imagine is due to the different denomination refills I have used over the years.
I'm thinking that, when traveling, I may like to change to a "Pay by the day" plan (to add internet access) and then back to "Pay as you go" when I return. I have searched and it seems that this is supported and that my Gold Rewards status will be maintained. Is this correct?
What I have been unable to determine is, when changing back to "Pay as you go", what will the expiration date then become (i.e. will it be a year out as if I have added new funds to an existing Gold Rewards plan or something different)? Also, what will the per-minute charge then be (i.e. will it be my current account balance dollar amount using the per-minute charge of the closest smaller refill card + 15% more minutes or something different)?
Is this the best/only way to add prepaid mobile internet to a prepaid voice plan for short (e.g. one/two week) periods, or is there a better option?
Thanks!
