T-Mobile Pre-Paid plans

I have a prepaid t-mobile phone, and I usually choose the option of making a $50.00 monthly payment ($54.00 with tax), and this is supposed to give me ninety (90) days of service.  Why is it then that every thirty (30) days, (sometimes 28 or 29), not only do I get text messages reminders from T-Mobile saying that my balance is low, and I need to make a payment in order to avoid interruption of service. But also sometimes when I make the payment way before the thirtieth day, my phone still gets disconnected, I still get low balance texts, and I am still short of 60+ days that I was promised for the 50.00 payment plan advertised on the website that was supposed to cover me for 90 days?  Anybody else encounter this problem with their T-Mobile prepaid?
