confusion about corporate discount

Hello everybody,

I would just like to come here and express my concern about receiving my corporate discount.

I've been with t-mobile since 2005, mostly happily, and in 2010, I got a family plan and added two lines for my parents because I felt more comfortable with them having the phones. After two years, we recently decided to just cancel those lines because they literally just do not use them. Ten minutes a month, maybe 15.

I switched to a new job earlier this year that came with a corporate discount with T-mobile. I knew I had to sign a new 2 year contract to apply the discount (which kinda baffled me as a long-time customer), but it was not clear to me that this would extend to each individual line. I blame this on the fact that everyone I spoke to in that department clearly did not speak English as a first language. I was thinking at the time that I should just hang up.

Now, I find out I can't cancel those two lines without a 200 dollar fee for both. I don't want to cancel all my service, but I've done the math: $400 to cancel, versus about $1,000 of extra service plan fees for the next 20 months. For an extra 200, I can just cancel them all.

I don't want to do that, but wow, the cost... especially after two years of already paying for them not to use the phones. I wish I could just undo the corporate discount. I could save so much more and still remain a happy T-mobile customer.
