We changed from Verizon to T-mobile because of their big offer of free data and texting in over 100 countries. We signed up for the right plan (simple choice) and had them do a credit check so we would have this service. I called T-mobile twice before leaving the US to confirm that I would have this free service, and gave them the dates that I would be in New Zealand. I was assured that I was all set and there would be no charges. I just check my bill and it says that I will be charged for international roaming. My bill will come through in two days. Now I am in New Zealand for another week and can't use my phone for data? This is horrible. What a disappointment.
