Gold member 15% bonus not applied?

When I first set up my pre-paid account in July of 2013, I bought a $100 card, qualifying me for gold member status. When I recently added a $10 card I received as a gift, I did not see any bonus credit applied ($23.65 balance before, $33.65 balance after), although the expiration date did get set to 1 year out as expected. I even got a text saying I should get 15% more minutes. Am I misunderstanding something or should I have an extra $1.50? Thanks.
