I purchased a T-mobile PREPAID Card with a T-Mobile hot spot device in June 2014 using my debit card. The device was stolen in the month of June when I went out of town. I did not pursue any communications with T-mobile because it was only $31.41 and was prepaid. I have purchased prepaid cards from T-mobile regularly and this has NEVER occurred before. Since then, my card has been charged for the months of July, August, September on a reoccurring payment of $30.41 that I did not authorize. Upon finding these charges on my card, I immediately called T-mobile customer service. I spoke with Michelle, the 'supervisor of the unauthorized charges department'. Michelle informed me that with purchasing the prepaid card, it automatically authorizes monthly charges. That, with paying for this Prepaid card I automatically agreed to said terms. As stated before, I have purchased Prepaid cards with T-Mobile regularly and that has never been the case. The point of a PREPAID card is not to have automatic reoccurring charges. Michelle placed a permanent block on my debit card preventing me from ever purchasing T-Mobile products again and stated that due to the strict no refund policy that I could not possibly be refunded for the charges I never authorized. She refused any other assistance or for me to speak to any other representative.
As a once very satisfied customer of T-Mobile, I find this to be a very unfortunate and aggravating event. Not only can I never again purchase T-Mobile products, but T-mobile has refused to refund the unauthorized charges taken from my account totaling $91.23.
This must be rectified T-Mobile.
